Hello and welcome to Right_Sides Lounge. My name is Mary and I'm your host. Right_Sides Lounge welcomes you to fantastic thought provoking poetry readings, great music and books by great New authors including Myself (smile). I am the author of "Echoes of an Era" which is my first book of poetry. I am also the author of "Hugs and Kisses" a book written as a tool for parents to talk to their children or any child that may be experiencing sexual abuse.
And to add (yes another one of my blessings) "The Story Box" A Collection of Adventure, which was written for children all over the world, and newly released "LOVE LAWS" a book for young adults.
So as your host and founder, I want to thank you again for joining me here, and if you will now partake in the refreshments while enjoying the great music I will tell you a little about myself. I was born the last of twelve in southwest, Michigan. (last pea in the pod as my mom would say to me). Later my family moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan where I was raised. I started "Echoes of an Era" when I was sixteen and never wanted to give it to the world, but with much encouragement from family and friends, and sweet inspiration echoing from my mom (she has sinced passed on) who guided my journey in writing, (Her gentle voice still echoes the wisdom and discipline she instilled). It's her who gave me the inspiration to make the poems available for publishing.
It's poetry written from my heart and soul while bringing you the bonds between Mother daughter and siblings. Its reaching into the love of man and woman on the highs and lows, as well as revealing a childs vision of additiction. It's expressing poverty and the joys of mother hood and lots more.
So I do hope you enjoy your stay, the entertainment, the poetry readings, Hugs and Kisses, The story Box and all that you are introduced too here at Right_sides Lounge. And please come back often, as I will always be bringing you something new!
